3 devices in one: FLS-4, PKD-1 (normal) or PKD-1RD (Research and Development dongle) In FLS-4 mode the license counter is set to 1000 units and STOPPED! Also some limited FPS-8 functions enabled (flashing too). It can use FPS-8 menu for flashing when in PKD-1 mode.

More detailed information than in FLS-4 mode when flashing in FPS-8 mode. Work as PKD-1RD (more menus enabled in Wintesla/Phoenix) R&D option in Flash menu for ADSP erase and blank check. TDMA, CDMA, WCDMA flash, repair, tuning, calibrate and Bluetooth and ADSP repair and flash.

It comes with small maintenance software who can do the following:
  • Set FLS / PKD dongle serial number to ANY value, 5 digits and / or 6 digits!!!
  • This is for prevent locking specific serial number(s) in future Phoenix updates who will be released by Nok.
  • Enables / disables FLS-4 down counter stop function.
  • (Maybe future updates of Phoenix software will no more allow stopped counter).

Usually Phoenix software is updated by Nokia to support new phone types / models BEFORE these phones reach the market. So, no more waiting on 3rd party softwares to receive updated software for new models.

Usually this takes long time, because the programmer(s) of 3rd party software need to receive the new phone model and do some research to update the software.

Can be used for many things than any other 3rd party software, like calibrate, tuning, testing, increase emission power...

For some operations additional equipment is needed: RF generator, jig test, frequency counter.

Microsoft Zune Flash Gen 2 16GB Take-Apart

RapidRepair has completed the new Zune Flash 2G 16GB disassembly guide.  With the slicing and dicing complete, you need only look down to see the flash-based Zune 16GB in all its glory.

  • Tools required:

  • Tri-wing

  • Small Flathead or exacto razor

  • Safe Open Tool

  • Repair Toolkit available HERE

  • Gather all neccesary tools and place your Zune Flash on a clean flat surface, use a soft cloth or towel to place under it.

    Same old usual suspects: headphones, inserts, USB cable, and manual.
    What a nice looking Gloss black finish.

    Step 1
    Prior to disassembly you must remove the top plastic insert in order to access the 2 Tri-Wing screws on the top of the unit.
    Now we can concentrate on removing the anodized aluminum backing. Slide the safe open case tool in the small gap between the front and back to free the back panel.
    If you break the retaining side clips off the backing, just superglue these back on.

    After the backing comes off we have a partial view of the internals.
    Now we can remove the next 3 Tri-Wing screws to access the memory board underneath.
    This dock board houses the components for the wireless, headphone jack, dock port, etc.

    After the 3 screws are out, we can remove the communications board.
    Be sure to lift the communications  board up carefully and pop the clip off the flat cable so we can set this board aside.

    Like the iPod, many of the internals on the Zune Flash gen2 are held on with mild adhesive. Looks like Microsoft has been taking notes on Apple!
    Simply pry the battery from the plate with your safe open case tool. The wireless antennae assembly also can be peeled off at this point.
    We now have access to the one remaining Tri-Wing screw still on the memory board. (short screw)

    Step 4 Cont.
    In order to remove the center frame we need to depress 2 clips on the side of the outer plastic frame. Once this is complete we can remove the memory board and the LCD screen.
    The LCD is held in place with one plastic clip, simply pop the clip open to remove the screen.

    The Zune 2 LCD screen can easy be removed now, turn the frame upside down, pop the LCD clip up, then gently tug on the LCD ribbon to remove.
    Note that the battery can be removed with a steady hand and a solder iron.

    If you are having trouble removing the screen, note that the area where the ribbon is clipped on the board has mild adhesive.

    Front panel with squirkle interface. Microsoft thought it would be a good idea to make this part non replaceable.
    There are 3 plastic pegs which are melted down which make it difficult to replace, but not impossible.
    A poor design from a RapidRepair standpoint!

    Step 1: You have to find a stem LPT port cable as shown:

    Just like on the Jack LPT port to attach to the back of the computer.

    And on what it has stated that Jack LPT number from 1 to 25 feet (see wealth in'll see). And we only care about 4 feet.

    No. 6 feet ..........( called SCK)
    No. 7 foot ..............( called Mosi)
    No. 9 feet ..............( called reset)

    As shown below:

    Step 2: Open Box JAF and welding as Figure 1 below.

    Step 3: View behind JAF BOX. using a scalpel and cut as shown in Figure 3 below.

    Step 4: Connect the USB for the JAF Box to use GND and 5V Voltage

    Step 5: Download: soft + Firmware of JAF box

    Step 6: Install PonyProg_V207c

    Step 7: After installation is complete, we set up as shown below.

    The steps to load and select the file you just need to conform to the video is 100% OK. The most important problem is the connection with JAF BOX LPT port only.

    Apa itu Dummy Battery?
    Hmmm...pencatu daya buatan yg bukan berasal dari battery sungguhan om.
    Bisa ya? Bisa duong...Pake apa? Pake celana ma baju lah masa gw telanjang!!...kwwkwkwkkww... ok ok serius nehh....

    Sebenarnya kita bisa buat sendiri dengan menggunakan tegangan yang berasal dari USB pada PC. Besar Voltase Keluaran pada semua USB dari PC adalah 5 Volt yang tentunya lownoise, tergantung PSU PC (Power Supply Unit) masing2....
    Dari USB PC 5Volt akan kita turunkan lagi tegangannya dengan bantuan sebuah dioda searah IN4001

    Sedangkan Voltase yg dibutuhkan kebanyakan HP modern rata-rata 3.6v tertera pada battrenya. Tetapi pada kenyataannya tidak seperti itu, (ukur aja sendiri) 4.2v - 4.7v pada kondisi battrei full.
    Lalu Arus Yang dibutuhkan HP gw rasa ga akan lebih dari 1Amp/jam, biasanya sih 0,25-0,30Amp pada saat full transceiver dan 0,10-0,20amp pada kondisi internet sedang idle...tergantung juga kekuatan sinyal dari BTS dan kondisi HP-nya juga.
    Pada praktek ini gw lagi pake HP Sony Ericsson K600i Oprekan...dengan sinyal 3G yang full(tetep lemot). :-P

    HandPhone Sony Ericsson hanya butuh 2 kabel saja sebagai supply-nya.
    Sedangkan HP Nokia Butuh 3 kabel sekaligus, yaitu: Plus(+), Minus(-) Dan kabel BSI(Battery Size Indicator). BSI bisa didapat dari penambahan resistor dari kutub Minus(-). Nilai resistornya jelas berbeda2 karena HP Nokia kebanyakan type-nya. Untuk Resistor BSI akan dijelaskan nanti. Sabar yaa...

    Bahan yg diperlukan:
    1. Siapkan kabel Merah & Hitam 1meter kalau bisa yg kabelnya menyatu.
    2. Capit buaya (+) (-) dengan ukuran terkecil yg ada dipasaran
    3. 1 buah Dioda searah IN4001 (IN4001 - IN4007) 01 sampai 07 hanya beda block voltagenya saja.
    4. Resistor BSI (khusus HP yg butuh line BSI seperti Handphone Nokia)
    5. 1 Buah Lampu LED (Light Emitting Dioda). Hanya sebagai indikator (tidak terlalu penting)
    6. 1 Kabel USB yang dapat dibongkar ujungnya...klo ga ada jg gpp bisa jg pake yg ujungnya paten
    7. Peralatan tempur...seperti solderan, tang potong, isolasi, lem power glue, dll.

    Perhatikan bagan skema di bawah ini. Seperti tampak pada gambar Voltase 5v dari PC USB di turunkan dlu melalui dioda IN4002 menjadi kurang lebih 4.3v. Ditambah sebuah resistor yg dirankangkai seri dengan LED menuju kutub Minus, fungsinya hanya sebagai indikator jika USB ditancapkan maka lampu LED akan menyala. Dari Minus ada sedikit tambahan sebuah resistor yang nantinya akan dipakai sebagai indikator volume battery pada Handphone tertentu saja. Nilai2 BSI tidak sama tergantung dari Type Batterai sungguhan yg digunakan. Contoh: pada Handphone Nokia dengan battery BL-5c biasanya BSI berkisar antar 68K sampai 100K ohm terhadap Ground.

    Setelah dirakit mengikuti skema di atas hasilnya akan tampak seperti gambar di bawah ini

    Jika Perakitan sudah selesai casing colokan USBnya bisa diberi lubang lalu ditambal dengan Lem silicon bening sebagai reflektor Lampu LED yang ada didalamnya

    • Masalah perkabelan yg tampak ribet menempel pada HP (kabel catu daya)
    • Ketika PC shutdown atau restart, HP otomatis ikut mati. Hal ini tidak boleh terjadi terus menerus!

    Heres' a tutorial that will teach you how to update your phones

    firmware to a Nokia original version (without your operators personalization) with NSU

    (Nokia Software Update the official Nokia program).

    NSU reads the product code of your phone and it searches its database
    for a newer version of the corresponding firmware in order to upgrade

    This is why you will need to change the product code of your phone into a non-branded product code, before running NSU.

    Download the NSS software in order to change the phones product code.

    Install NSS

    Install NSU

    Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.

    Open NSS and click on Scan for new device on the right-upper part of the window

    Click on the icon Phone info

    Click on Scan

    As you can see, now you can change the product code (on the right of the phone info

    window of NSS). For a Nokia 6680, type the product code 0521637 (this
    is the product code for France!) and then mark the case Enable.

    Now press Write, and your phones product code will be changed (you
    might think that nothing happened, because the phone is still in normal
    mode, and the changing of the product code only takes a couple of
    seconds, but dont worry, the product code changed !).

    Close NSS and you can proceed now with the NSU flashing.

    When the flashing with NSU is over, start-up your phone and you'll have
    the pleasant surprise that your phone's firmware is the latest Nokia
    non-branded firmware in date!

    NOTE: I advise you to disable any antivirus and firewall on your PC during the flashing.

    .Instalasi Spiderman 
    1.Klik ganda pada installer Spiderman terbaru saat ini sudah versi 2.52
    2.Klik Next untuk melanjutkan proses instalasi
    3.Untuk destination folder sebaiknya gunakan standar setting lalu klik next
    4.Klik Instal untuk memulai proses instalasi
    5.Tunggu proses instalasi berjalan sampai selesai

    Pasang Box ke Komputer
    1.Pasang box Spiderman ke komputer
    2.Apabila Muncul pesan Found New Hardware menandakan Box repair spiderman belum di kenali oleh komputer
    3.Pilih (Advanced) untuk mengambil driver secara manual
    4.Klik browse untuk mencari lokasi driver
    5.Cari lokasi driver di alamat C:\Program Files\Spiderman\Driver lalu klik Ok
    6Kemudian Klik Next untuk melanjutkan proses pengambilan driver
    7.Apabila SpiderBOXUSB_2007 sudah terbaca menandakan driver sudah di temukan lalu klik Next

    Flashing Via Spiderman
    1.Pasang dengan baik Kabel USB yang menghubungkan Box Spiderman dengan komputer

    15.Apabila ada pesan Press ON/OFF key Please… lakukan kejut seperti sebelumnya
    16.Tunggu Proses Booting berjalan sampai benar benar terhubung dengan baik
    17.Jika ada pesan Closed COM28 success !menandakan ponsel dan box sudah terhubung dengan baik
    18.Klik Pada Open di menu NOR FLASH untuk mengambil firmware ponsel
    19.Ambilkan Firmware dengan akhiran *bin dan sesuai dengan tipe ponsel yang sedang di perbaiki
    20.Klik Flash untuk menjalankan proses flashing
    21.Tunggu proses flashing berjalan sampai selesai
    22.Apabila ada pesan File Download Successfully Completed menandakan proses flashing telah selesai dan sukses.
